NENTOA Supports United States Coast Guard – Montauk Point

NENTOA Members can be proud to know that, through the efforts of Roger Joyce (and Connie – “R.C. Caislin”) and several NENTOA members, a donation was made to the USCG Station Montauk Point and it and the CG Cutter Bonito are now equipped with exercise gear that was purchased with funds donated by NENTOA members.

Working with Roger, Loralyn Cropper, Coast Guard Foundation Regional Director of Philanthropy, Northeast made arrangements for an array of equipment and weights to be delivered late last year.

“… The fitness equipment is great…they keep weights on the Cutter Bonito for the workouts and the machines are at the station so that they work out when they are in port…The men and women that I spoke to about the equipment are so grateful!! …”  –  Loralyn Cropper

“On behalf of the men and women of the Coast Guard Cutter BONITA, I would like to extend my most heartfelt appreciation for your generous donation to our unit…  Your gifts of the Bow Flex dumbbells, kettle bells, cable crossover, and Jacob’s ladder fitness system were an instant hit with both crews and have been put to good use upon their arrival…”

– J.S. Graham, Officer in Charge, U.S. Coast Guard Cutter BONITA
